In 2018 we invented our first AI-for-manufacturing product, Prescribe. Prescribe was a novel process optimization technology based on our in-house research and development in machine learning. Prescribe achieved some remarkable outcomes for our customers:
By 2019, the World Economic Forum recognised Dataprophet as a Tech Pioneer due to the real-world impact of our prescriptive AI. In 2020 we entered a partnership alliance with the Norican Group, a leading machine builder for foundries.
With time, Dataprophet’s early lead in the race to autonomous manufacturing has matured into a deeper understanding of our customers. We’ve distilled our experience into two key lessons:
Data solutions can accelerate the journey to manufacturing excellence. Every customer, though, is on their own, unique journey. The most successful data solution meets the customer where they are.
Manufacturing data solutions are built in layers, starting with factory digitisation, and ending in the most advanced applications. Each of these layers can only be as strong as the layer that supports it. An advanced AI application, for instance, relies on the fidelity and interpretability of the available data. In our experience, successful data solutions are built on the quality of the customer’s long-term data strategy. Unlike short-term ROI considerations, the data strategy guides the journey to ensure that an adequate foundation supports any given data application.
